Tatting 25 - Mylar Bookmarks by Murphy’s Designs

Here are all 6 of the bookmarks done with regular 40 wt. rayon thread and Mylar.

I smaller ones fit a 4x4 inch (100x100 mm) hoop.  The larger ones fit in a 5x7 inch (130x180 mm) hoop size.

I made my tassels.  The red one on the left was done with DMC perle cotton.  The middle one (purple) was done with Wooly Nylon serger thread.  The right one is a serger thread that is variegated gold and block.  That one is a bit hard to see how pretty it is but matches the Mylar sparkle.

I don't know if I would do the Wooly Nylon very often.  It is very soft but it also snags a bit.

Free-standing machine embroidery tatted continuous and corner edges plus mini doily designs done in the machine embroidery hoop!

For 4 inch (100x100 mm) hoops and larger

Continuous tatted edges and corner.  These are done right in the hoop.  They have free-standing tatted edges and a finished edge for your fabric.  Plus a "mini" doily that can be used as a name tag.

Above are two of the projects I made with these designs.  The "mini" doily is all done right in the hoop - I have a separate design for that.  It was done with a regular 40 weight polyester embroidery thread.

The pink hanky was done with a 60 weight rayon thread.  I used a beautiful batiste fabric that is light and airy.  I used the corner design and the 6x10 inch size for the sides.  The hanky measures 11 inches square.

Tatting 134 - Edged Doily *SALE*

SALE FOR A LIMITED TIME

Tatting 134 Edged Doily by Murphy’s Designs
Free-standing machine embroidery tatting edged doily designs done in the machine embroidery hoop!

For 4 inch (100x100 mm) hoops and larger

Small tatted doilies.  These are done right in the hoop.  They have free-standing tatted edges and a finished edge for your fabric.

I have them done 2 ways with 3 different centers.  The top one on the left has a larger chain than the others.  Done with a Celtic redwork center, with wing needle entredeux, cross stitch butterflies and a "plain" center.

Tatting 134 Edged Doily by Murphy’s Designs

Here's my little wing needle basket o' flowers.  The basket is done with wing needle entredeux.  This design also has a wing needle entredeux accents at the top.  It is a little hard to see in this picture since I used white thread.

You don't have to use a wing needle if you don't want to or if your machine can't use a wing needle.  If you use the same thread color, it will look like traditional entredeux (like in my picture).  Or if you want, you can use a contrasting color and it will have a pretty pattern.

These all fit in a 4x4 inch (100x100 mm) hoop.

Sashiko-Inspired Garden

Sashiko-Inspired Garden by Murphy’s Designs

Although Sashiko is traditionally done by hand, I know that some of you will not stitch out ~anything~ by hand.  So I made these designs that are inspired by the Sashiko stitching.  Although it isn't an exact match for Sashiko, it is fun to make them on your embroidery machine.

For 4x4 inch (100x100 mm) hoops or larger

Sashiko is usually done with a single color - usually white on a dark fabric.  But I made these to be colorful.
EASY!

I used a regular weight (40 wt.) embroidery thread for all designs shown in this set.  Use a regular bobbin the same or similar color as your fabric.
I include the word "Spring" as a separate design.  Plus I include the design done with and without the word.
